SUMMARY:Closing Reception of current “Back in Five Minutes” Artist in Residency
DESCRIPTION:From Maria de los Angeles\, El Museo Artist in Residence: \nBeing an artist in the “Back in Five Minutes” Artist in Residency program at El Museo del Barrio from Sept 28th to January 29th has been a wonderful experience! This Saturday\, January 28th I welcome you to join me at my studio in El Museo’s gallery for my closing reception\, from 4PM to 6PM. Please come and take a look at the work I made during my residency.  Experience the drawings about our political situation  and about my experience with immigration. The installation is on view all day Saturday\, and from 4pm to 6pm you will get to see a special presentation of my work and poetry\, along with models wearing dresses fashioned from paper & recycled material. I even have a few dresses that visitors will be able to wear  and take photos in during the closing reception.  Let me know if you wish to wear a paper dress from 4pm to 6pm. \nI invite you all to come and make my last day as Artist in Residence of El Museo del Barrio a special one. El Café will be open and there will be a cash bar\, serving beer and wine\, coffee and tea.
