DESCRIPTION:Rosario Ferré Ramírez de Arellano (1938 – 2016) was a Puerto Rican writer\, poet\, and essayist. Her father\, Luis A. Ferré\, was the third elected Governor of Puerto Rico and the founding father of the New Progressive Party of Puerto Rico. When her mother\, Lorenza Ramírez de Arellano\, died in 1970 during her father’s term as governor\, Rosario fulfilled the duties of First Lady until 1972. She was the recipient of the “Liberatur Prix” award from the Frankfurt Book Fair for “Kristallzucker“\, the German translation of “Maldito Amor“. \nFor more information please email Zoraida Climent a zcliment@elmuseo.org \n+++ \nRosario Ferré Ramírez de Arellano (1938-2016) fue escritora\, poeta y  ensayista puertorriqueña nacida en la ciudad de Ponce. Su padre\, Luis A. Ferré\, fue el fundador del Partido Nuevo Progresista (PNP) y el tercer gobernador electo de Puerto Rico. Al fallecer Lorenza Ramírez de Arellano en 1970\, su hija Rosario cumple con los deberes al cargo de Primera Dama hasta el 1972. En 1992\, Rosario Ferré ganó el premio ‘Liberatur Prix’ de la Feria del Libro en Fráncfort por su cuento ‘Maldito Amor’ (Kristallzucher\, su traducción en alemán). \nPara más información\, contacte a Zoraida Climent a zcliment@elmuseo.org
