SUMMARY:Making Latinidad | A Gathering of Art & Ideas
DESCRIPTION:Free | RSVP here > \n\nWhat does latinidad mean today\, and who has the power to define its future? \nMaking Latinidad is a space for gathering\, celebration\, and reflection through art\, culture\, and collective action. Bringing together projects led and created by Latine people\, the festival sparks conversations\, ideas\, and connections that explore and strengthen our identities. \nAcross multiple formats\, Making Latinidad brings together publishing projects\, sound artists\, performance collectives\, researchers\, and cultural thinkers. From print and music to performance and conversation\, participants explore identity\, challenge the boundaries between fiction and truth\, and consider the social transformations shaping our realities. \nMaking Latinidad is Latines making: creating from our own spaces\, with our own tools and ways of life. Through publishing\, music\, performing arts\, and critical thought\, the festival affirms that the future of latinidad is something we build together\, here and now.  \nProgram: \n3:00 – 3:50 PM: Panel I — The Stories We Tell: Storytellers Challenging Stereotypes (Spanish)\n\nWith Jasmine Garsd (immigration journalist at NPR) and Nadia Reiman (editor at This American Life).
