SUMMARY:PODEMOS HACER ALGO (We Can Do Something)
DESCRIPTION:La Trienal artists Poncili Creación are coming to El Barrio! Podemos Hacer Algo [We Can Do Something] is a poetic protest and statement of the power of an individual’s creativity in the fight against injustice and inequality. Held throughout the streets of East Harlem\, Poncili Creación will bring an angry multitude of their own creation to protest against the injustice of minorities all over the world\, focusing on Puerto Rico and its current issues. \nThe protest will end in a performance at El Museo del Barrio at 3pm beginning at La Marqueta Retoña at 1pm. “Podemos Hacer Algo” is a sequel to “Somos Podemxs [We Can]\,” commissioned by El Museo del Barrio in 2020 as an online project as part of ESTAMOS BIEN – LA TRIENAL 20/21.
