DESCRIPTION:In honor of Women’s History month\, we are partnering with the premiere Latino arts theatre for children\, Teatro SEA\, for an interactive bilingual storytelling session about the acclaimed Mexican artist\, Frida Kahlo. Invite your family and friends for a fun-filled morning accompanied by music and puppets. All ages are welcome! \n\n\nInspired by Frida Kahlo’s love for traditional Mexican clothing\, learn more about this unique embroidery style through an art making workshop! Led by El Museo’s educator\, Carolina Malagamba\, explore the different patterns and Huipiles\, worn by Maya and Yucatec women through this hands-on segment of the program. Make sure you have all materials below. \nMATERIALS NEEDED: Paper; (2) Two circles in slightly different sizes in different colored cardstock or paper (whatever is available to you); Crayons or highlighter for (PreK-1st grade) or Markers or colored pencils (2nd-12th grade); Glue; and a ribbon or string. \nFREE ADMISSION via Zoom LIVE | To RSVP\, click here.\n(Registration closes at 10:00 AM on March 27th.
