DESCRIPTION:Come learn about the tradition of Puerto Rican santo de palo making by contemporary santero artist Eric Saunders. A santo is a wood carving of a saint\, often displayed in a church or made for display in someone’s home\, and a santero/santera is the artist who carves the wood sculptures. Following a brief history of the long tradition\, audience members will learn to make their own soap santos! \nFREE ADMISSION | To RSVP\, click here.\n(Registration closes at 10am on December 19th.
