DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop at this year’s Uptown Bounce\, an eclectic series of free summer block parties presented by the Museum of the City of New York\, El Museo del Barrio\, and The Africa Center. In its 10th year\, the series will once again feature top DJs\, special guests\, live performances\, art-making activities\, and more. \nAt El Museo del Barrio\, we will give space and celebrate the significant contributions of the Nuyorican community to Hip Hop from its origins until today. On the first night\, join us and dance to DJ Diosa Dynamite (6-8 PM) and East Harlem’s own DJ G-Bo the Pro (8-9 PM)\, who worked with his partner DJ Rei Double R in producing must-have mixtapes throughout the 90s. Practice your graffiti writing skills with us by tagging black books and postal stickers. Each night we will have a dominos competition hosted by Capicu! the Party.  Be sure to get your photo taken in front of a photo booth featuring a mural replica by the legendary Tats Cru. \nFree Admission. | To RSVP\, click here.
