We are open Thursday through Sundays from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Located at in New York City’s historic neighborhood of El Barrio (East Harlem), El Museo del Barrio is easily accessible by bicycle, car, and public transportation.
El Museo’s main entrance is fully accessible via wheelchair via a ramp located on the right-side of the stairs on 5th Avenue. Accessible restrooms are available on the first floor near El Café. Wheelchairs and stools area available upon request, free of charge. For more information on accessibility services, click here.
From East Side of Manhattan:
Subway: Take the 4, 5, or 6 train to 103rd Street and walk north to 104th Street and then three blocks west to Fifth Avenue. This walk is about a half mile and takes approximately 10 minutes. Bus: Take the M1 or M2 along Madison Avenue to 106th Street.
From West Side of Manhattan:
Subway: Take the 1 or 2 train to 110th Street, then the M2, M3, or M4 around Central Park to Fifth Avenue. Bus (from Crosstown): Take the M79 Eastbound to 81st and Madison Avenue, and then the M1 to 104th Street and Madison Avenue. Walk 1 block east to Fifth Avenue.
From The Bronx:
Subway: Take the 4, 5, or 6 train to 103rd Street and walk north to 104th Street and then three blocks west to Fifth Avenue; or take the 1 or 2 train to 110th Street, then the M2, M3, or M4 around Central Park to Fifth Avenue.
From Brooklyn:
Subway: Take the 4, 5, or 6 train to 103rd Street and walk north to 104th Street and then three blocks west to Fifth Avenue; or take the 2 train to 110th Street, then the M2, M3, or M4 around Central Park to Fifth Avenue.

From The Bronx, Northern New Jersey, and New England:
Take southbound Henry Hudson Parkway to 96th Street exit; cross Central Park and turn left on Madison Avenue and reach El Museo on 104th and Fifth Avenue.
From Brooklyn and Staten Island:
Take Williamsburg Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, or Battery Tunnel to northbound/uptown FDR Drive to 96th Street exit at; proceed straight westbound and turn right on Madison Avenue until you reach El Museo on 104th and Fifth Avenue.
From Bronx, Queens, Long Island, Upstate New York, and New England via RFK Bridge:
Take southbound/downtown FDR Drive to 96th Street exit; proceed straight westbound and turn right on Madison Avenue until you reach El Museo on 104th and Fifth Avenue.
