Gallery Tours
Led by our Museum Educators, Gallery Tours invite visitors to explore El Museo’s exhibitions through close looking, conversation, and inquiry. Participants engage with works of art that reflect the histories, cultures, and experiences of Latine, Caribbean, and Latin American communities, while discovering the stories and ideas that shape each exhibition.
Through guided discussion and interactive activities, visitors are encouraged to make personal connections to the artwork, share perspectives, and deepen their understanding of the artists, themes, and cultural contexts represented in the galleries.

Around the Block: Walking Tours of El Barrio
Led by our Museum Educators, the Around the Block Walking Tour of El Barrio encourages visitors to take in the sights and sounds of the neighborhood. Learn about the legacy of our communities, the icons that once called El Barrio home, and the art that makes the streets come alive.
Stops may include community gardens, murals, local businesses, and landmarks. Participants engage in discussions about the ways in which El Museo and the neighborhood have been shaped by the cultural and social practices of the residents of El Barrio and its changing landscape.

Cultural Celebrations
Celebrate the rich traditions and vibrant cultures represented in our communities through El Museo del Barrio’s seasonal Cultural Celebrations. Led by Museum Educators, these interactive experiences invite visitors to learn about the history, symbolism, and contemporary significance of cultural traditions through art, storytelling, and hands-on activities.
Throughout the year, participants can explore celebrations such as Día de Muertos in the fall and Three Kings Day in the winter, engaging with customs that honor heritage, community, and cultural expression. Programs encourage reflection, creativity, and meaningful connections to the diverse traditions that shape Caribbean, Latine, and Latin American identities.
