This holiday season, experience Navidad, Calpulli Mexican Dance Company’s story of Mexican and American holiday traditions through folklórico and contemporary dance, live music, and storytelling.
The one-hour production follows a young girl raised by Mexican immigrant parents in New York City, navigating holiday traditions at home and at school. Mariachi meets Tchaikovsky, folklórico meets ballet, and Christmas carols meet Villancicos as two cultures come together.
Featuring live music, an audience sing-along, and a piñata finale, Navidad brings the holiday season to life.
